The Utah County Swillers

CD Release Party, August 15th!!

About Me

When most people think "Utah" they quickly think of a few things. Mormons, polygamists and super uptight conservative assholes. While that may be true, there is in fact--fucked up hillbillies up here in the mountains who know how to have a damn good time! Back in 2002, a few drunks bellied up to the bar. After several shots of whiskey and countless beers, the idea to get a band together suddenly emerged. Under the drunken misdirection of Swillin' Willis, members of Endless Struggle, the Unlucky Boys and Thunderfist set out to create a new sound that simply doesn't exist in the high mountain valleys of Utah. It's music by rednecks--for rednecks! Yee Haww! It's trucker punk for the workin' man and we're pulling out all the stops. If you are lookin' for a drunken good time, look us up at our next show in a bar near you. Road trips are in the works so keep an eye out, partner!

SWILLER OF THE MONTH!!

Our Monthly salute goes out to a feller way down in Chicago Heights, Illinois--a man with a love of Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer--so much, that he's decided to rest in peace with it! Bill Bramanti has designed a casket in the honor of PBR and will go down with it in a way a true swiller should. "I actually fit in it, cause I got in here," claims the 67-year-old Glenwood village administrator who doesn't plan on needing it anytime soon. He threw a party Saturday for friends and filled his silver coffin — designed in Pabst's colors of red, white and blue — with ice and his favorite brew. "Why put such a great novelty piece up on a shelf in storage when you could use it only the way Bill Bramanti would use it?" said Bramanti's daughter, Cathy Bramanti, 42.--So with pride and honor, we salute you with PBR in hand, Bill Bramanti!! Cheers! May you have many more days of swillin' the PBR before you punch off the ticket.
