NEW ALBUM IS OUT! AMAZON.COM.iTUNES.FAVESTORE

About Me

I am living and loving life to its fullest and am very excited by the material that is coming out of me right now, and am very anxious to keep working on my second album. April it will be. Much more sparce and raw and unexpected and revealing and and and...... shows are coming changes are occuring want to make this happen. Have been collaborating with so many greats lately, worked on a very exciting project in Woodstock with Levon Helm and had the honor to sing lead and back ups on a few tracks, as well as singing with the lovely Amy Helm. what a doll. My record just went for sale in Japan..in a state of limbo, with record in hand, wanting to infiltrate as many ears as I can. I am trying to set up shows as often as possible. Currently I am living on Martha's Vineyard writing new stuff, and collaborating with my dad, Arlen Roth as much as time gives us the chance to. Thanks for reading. Listen and listen and listen some more.

The whole song vamps between two chords, but, unlike others in that mold, this is no mere hippie-dippy noodling. The melody is strong; drummer Shannon Ford and bassist Paul Osola groove masterfully: and dad adds some tasty slide. The effect is hypnotic- here and on the poignant title track and the harder-edged "Flashing".-Vintage Guitar (Dan Forte, 2007)"Angry River," penned by Arlen, shows a bluesier side, but Lexie doesn't hammer you over the head with blues mama excesses; she sucks you in with restraint and understatement."-Vintage Guitar (Dan Forte, 2007)"I Just Might" has a light Latin cadence, punctuated by the elder Roth's acoustic fills, while Gershen's "I'd Rather Live in The Past" strikes a modern Celtic tone, with Mindy Jostyn's accordion and violin and Roth's multiple tremoloed guitars, and the brief "It's A Mystery," with Arlen's acoustic slide, has an "O Brother" timelessness.- Vintage Guitar (Dan Forte, 2007)"The two covers are brilliant strokes-subtly accentuating "Dream Lover's" cha-cha and getting to the heart of "You Can Close Your Eyes"- illustrating how well Lexie Roth knows her own voice. Besides debuting a promising siner/songwriter, this represents some of Arlen Roth's best guitar and production work- not drawing attention to himself but to what's important here: the voice and the songs."- Vintage Guitar (Dan Forte, 2007)
