Power To The Dark coming soon!!!!

About Me

Founded in 2003, built in Mortville, MA, singer/crooner Andy Von and old-school punk style drummer Bobby Bones got together with guitarist Mark the Machine to write/perform the eerie, catchy punk tunes on their 2004 release of their debut CD, Cemetery Reign. The original lineup played out at a local pubs, pool halls, clubs and basements and their live stage show drew fans from the college aged out to have a PBR, to blue collar working guys, to the die-hard Misfits fans of old, which is the main genre they try to capture and improve on. In time they drafted Matty Cleaver to hold down the basslines. Their second CD, Creatures Beyond the Grave, was released in May 2007 locally, and is being re-recorded with the additional guitar work this spring/summer.The Automatons have a contagious energy with catchy lyrics and riffs. The band blends the frontman's smooth crooning with tribal drums, a solid never faltering bassline, and complimenting the basic punk rythym guitar riffs is a slight metal tinge with the addition of lead guitars by TB Monstrosity, who also provides soothing background vocals. The range of songs can go from an Elvis cover to metal touchings, and back to basic punk like the Ramones. To date the Automatons have played with national acts: the Misfits, Blitzkid, Balzac, Koffin Kats, Mad Sin, Bella Morte, the Independents, the Serpenteens, Suicide City, Psychostick, Zombie Ghost Train, Michale Graves, Dr. Chuds X-Ward, 45 Grave, Sardonica, the Murder Junkies, Trashlight Vision, and many local favorites such as: Bad Ash, Gein and the Grave Robbers, Ghouls Night Out, Marazine, Demons Alley and more. ~
