The Devil's Interval

The Devil's Interval are Emily Portman, Jim Causley and Lauren McCormick. They hail from from Somerset, Devon and Derbyshire respectively. They perform a varied repertoire of mostly Traditional English music sung unaccompanied as nature intended and also accompanied with Accordion, Concertina and Flute. They met at Newcastle University studying Folk & Traditional Music and now are in great demand on the UK folk scene performing all over the show. They have toured with Waterson:Carthy and are recording a new album of seasonal songs with them due to be released in time for the Frost & Fire tour in December 06. The Trio shall also be recording their own debut album over Easter due for release on WildGoose Records this summer. The Devil's Interval are renowned for their gorgeous, rich harmonies and their daft yet loveable stage personas. Catch them at a gig near you!
