FRIEND REQUESTS - please read this...

Please don't send a friend request if you are seeking a booking at the Bothy, and we don't already know you, as this isn't the route for that, I'm afraid - please read the next section ('Prospective Performers'). If the Bothy MySpace 'keeper' (who isn't the club organiser!) isn't likely to immediately recognise who you are, or your link with the club, please send an accompanying message with your friend request; otherwise, you'll more than likely get lumped in with all the many 'random' requests we receive, which don't necessarily get dealt with (time constraints!).
*****
PROSPECTIVE PERFORMERS - please read this...

The guardian of this MySpace page doesn't have any hand in booking guests, and we're afraid that it's not possible to deal with enquiries about bookings through this page. We're very sorry, but sending us a friend request won't lead to your being checked out as a possible future guest (see the bit on Friend Requests above)! There are so many people sending out their CDs nowadays, and/or wanting their MySpace tracks checked out, that your best option is to come along to one of our frequent Singers Nights (for dates, see the main webpage), and get yourself heard that way - you'll find us a friendly bunch! If you are thinking of sending your CD/promotional material to the club, please read the message from Clive below. The main Bothy contact method is via the club's website: www.bothyfolkclub.co.uk
Many thanks!
...and here's a message from Bothy organiser Clive Pownceby:
"At Bothy World HQ, we adopt a far reaching advance booking policy and programme planning is usually some 18 months ahead. After over 40 years of operation, requests for repeat gigs from Club favourites are many but our ears are always open, and regular Singers Nights give up-and-comers the opportunity to impress us in person. To avoid adding to our postman's lower back problems, why not come down and meet us instead of loosing off that promo pack & demo CD?
Clive"
