Boulder bluegrass that rocked your face

About Me

So, well, ARP is now defunct. It was good while it lasted... Josh moved back to Alabama, Jeff moved up to Ned, and Sarah and Pierce are still in Boulder. You can still find us playing across the countryside, together and individually.the legend of ARP: Acoustic Ranch Party was a hot new bluegrass band in Colorados Front Range music scene. These four southerners were well-versed in bluegrass tradition while embracing progressive sounds.Imagine experimental mandolin and banjo, solid rhythm guitar and bass, and soaring male and female harmonies, and you had yourself a party. You may have heard some original tunes as well as drivin' traditional bluegrass numbers. ~Bassist Jeff Kazmierski was born in Alabama and raised in Lake City, Florida. He learned bluegrass in the campgrounds of Floridas fine music festivals. Jeff enjoyed playing all over Colorado with several Front Range bands in the past year. ~Josh Langford and Sarah Gurganus began their musical ventures together as far back as they can remember. Hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, these siblings grew up in a bluegrass home heavily influenced by Red, White, and Bluegrass, the Doug Dillard Band, and their family band, Newground. After more than twenty years together, they still had that musical spark that kept them on the stage. Josh's eclectic in-your-face mandolin artistry and vocal technique kept the listener intrigued and asking for more. Sarah came back to her bluegrass roots after opera training and singing with a jazz ensemble, and found her acoustic music more meaningful because of these explorations. ~Pierce Gresham, originally from Stone Mountain, Georgia, has lived in Colorado for the past six years. Most of that time was spent in Crested Butte, but he has recently made Boulder his new home. While in Crested Butte, Pierce played in both The Hand Me Downs and Train Wreck. Now working as an electrician in Boulder, Pierce still found time for doing what he loves. Pickin' the five-wire. ~Acoustic Ranch Party was available to play your events in Colorado and beyond.
