Thundering Skies of ...

About Me

Disgraceland formed in Brisbane in 1992 and played for about a year before we all went back to our normal lives. In 1998 we got 'the call' - a phone call, nothing weird, and were sent to the studio by a kind benefactor to record a CD of some tunes we wrote. 'The Thundering Skies of Disgraceland' was released independently a few months later. We played some shows, scored a 4-star review in Rolling Stone, then went back to our normal lives. In 2001 our drummer and dear friend Michael Hiron was called to the Big Production House in the Sky. Our normal lives got pretty sad for a long time and we never remarried. In 2006 some darned fool suggested we should do a show, so we did. We're even going to do some more this year.
Up in the video link below our profile we have put up a couple of videos we made way back in 1998. You may notice a tall fellow with a shaved head - that is our old friend Michael Hiron. We are lucky to have these clips as documents of the time we were privileged to share.
We were also lucky enough to have Michael with us for 'Thundering Skies' and are currently in the process of making the olde album available bit by bit through our player. Please see our blog for details.
