About Me

Mark Elliott Schimick, a young and rising mandolin player on the traditional and new-acoustic scenes, has already left a trail for other musicians and fans alike to follow. Since the dawn of the new millennium, he has amazed and inspired many as the mandolin player for Larry Keel. The name of his own band is Mark Schimick and the Ghost Driver Stringband. This project showcases a sound like no other, marrying old-time, blues, improv and bluegrass; you can call it blues-grass. Mark may be one of very few performers equally steeped in blues and bluegrass alike.
