Never Eversole

That's How We Do It Here On Earth

About Me

"Roots influenced acoustic Americana of the memorable kind. Unpredictable, eclectic and vibrant..." -Take Country Back, Feb 08.----- Never Eversole was born in Harlan, Kentucky and grew up there in the Appalachian mountians. But it wasn't until his family migrated to North Carolina that he began to hear and feel the old mountain sounds of the fiddles and banjos. First, Doc Watson's guitar pickin' from Deep Gap drifted in from the hills, then Earl Scruggs unmistakable banjo playing floated through the air. Next Bill Monroe’s ancient tones rang across the valley, leaving him hooked beyond any hope of recovery. Hundred of festivals later, and after countless Phish concerts and Grateful Dead bootlegs, Never's music has become a “Creature” of its own. It gently and chaotically runs through the most traditional sounding bluegrass, dives into old time, folds into jazz, fuses into funk, and melts into time. This is accomplished while sacrificing nothing in the way of the roots. Recent tours include that of the East coast of the U.S. and of China, with North Carolina, New York City, and Beijing bringing some of the liveliest and most receptive audiences. Eversole delved into theatre last year with his part in Triad Stage’s hit “A Beautiful Star”, in which he played banjo and guitar in the play. His debut album "Creature", released in May of 2008, was a long time in the making, and is one of those albums that seems to get better with each listen. He is now a member of the illustrious Rivers of Mars Record Company, and has teamed up with some of the area's best musicians to record this very natural and unique record. "Creature" can be found at cdbaby.com/andreweversole, and also at County Sales.com. Also check out the website, andreweversole.com for more information. To Order your copy of "Creature, click here.
