Always fun to think of yourself in the third person....like getting teeth pulled.Hurricane Katrina Evacuee (Life and Livelihood as I knew it pretty much wiped out), recently returned to New Orleans, and trying to reinvent myself once again. ( I seem to do this every decade), and availing myself to the wonders of MySpace to jump start things a little bit, and keep things interesting. Some know me by my alter ego "Little Georgie" ( a suit I used to put on regularly, now stored in mothballs and pulled out only occasionally)...a uniform designed to wear in the professional music wars that is now a little tight around the middle. So if you want to stay in touch with him, or hear what he's about, just click on his face in my "top friends" section. I settled in New Orleans ten years ago. I was asked to produce the 25th anniversary recording for The Wild Magnolias, and ended up deciding to live here. Everyday I walk out my door, I'm never ceased to be awed by the incredible musicians that were born and raised here, and the musicians that decided to make this place their home.Being here is truly a blessing. Come visit sometime. I have an air mattress with your name on it.

My Interests

Music, Sports, Art, Mid Century Design, Architecture, 50's Kitsch, Exposure to New Cultures, Philosophies, Truth, Beauty, True Love, and the pursuit of happiness, not necessarily in that order.

I'd like to meet:

Not only would I like to use MySpace as a way to meet new and interesting people, but I'm also hopeful that it will function as vehicle to reach out to the many people that I've known and loved in the past to be able to re-connect on some kind of level.....I've left a lot of bodies in my wake, some by my own hand, and some not. Life's too short for vendettas, and my dreams are haunted by alot of ghosts of people that aren't dead yet.Who I Don't Want to Meet: Shameless Self Promoters, and Porn Trawlers/Predators of the Lonely. You bore me.

Music:

Being a musician, this is a tough one...I will say that every long standing romantic relationship I've had was based way more on the quality of a perspective mate's record collection than it was ever based on the fact that we might even be remotely compatible, much to my detriment.....I've been listening to alot of the classics lately (Piano music primarily ), not that it has anything to do with what I actually play.

Movies:

Citizen Kane, The Bicycle Thief, Eisienstein, Birth of a Nation, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari Chaplin and Keaton, White Heat, Casablanca, Frank Capra, Philadelphia Story, Anything with Cary Grant, Wizard of Oz, All Disney feature animation up to 1970, Doris Day and Rock Hudson movies, Cheesy 50's Sci-Fi and Horror, MGM Musicals, Bad 40's Bio Pics (Pride of the Yankees, etc.), Stanley Kubrick movies (Lolita, Dr. Stranglelove, Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket), Early Coppola (Godfather I and II, Apocalypse Now), Wings of Desire (one of my all time favorites, thank you kimbly), Cinema Paradiso, Life is Beautiful, Roman Polanski (Rosemary's Baby, Tess, etc.), Bad Teen Flicks from Beach Blanket Bingo to American Pie, concert movies, Goddard, anything that the Cohen Bros. have done (Miller's Crossing, Raising Arizona, Blood Simple, Fargo, Big Lebowski, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, etc.), Pulp Fiction, Iconic Pop Culture Movies (The Wild Ones, Hard Days Night, Saturday Night Fever, Urban Cowboy, Dirty Dancing, Grease.., I'm basically a big movie whore and I'll watch anything ..uloid (at least once).

Television:

Anything that functions as visual demerol after a long day.

Books:

Stick a book in front of me, I'll read it. I may not like it, but I'll read it. I'm not a snob when it comes to the printed word, however my taste leans more toward fiction and biography....

Heroes:

My brother was my first hero.....But in no particular order: my Mother and Father, Dr. Kevin Moore, Phil Klein, Larry Arlotta, Ed Hamell, Tim Harrington, Bob Acquaviva, my grandfather Alfredo and grandmother Lena were my True Teachers....thank you all. Also, Ben Franklin, Leonardo DaVinci, Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers, Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms, Mozart, Bach,Debussey, Stravinsky, Ray Charles, James Booker, Jelly Roll Morten, Louis Armstrong, Walt Disney, Chuck Jones,Tex Avery, Mel Blanc, Carl Stalling, Rodgers, Hart, And Hammerstein, George Gershwin, Art Tatum,Bud Powell,Coltrane, Pete Johnson, Albert Ammons, Meade Lux Lewis, Jerry Lee, Chuck Berry and Johnnie Johnson, Bill Payne, Chuck Leavell, Ian Stewart, Nicky Hopkins, Roy Bittan, Mac Rebbenack, Ernie K-Doe, Earl King, Art Neville, Allen Toussaint, Brian Epstein, Andrew Loog Oldham, Malcom Maclaren, Peter Grant, The Lomax brothers, John Hammond Sr., Bruce Lundvall, Ahmet Ertegun, Jerry Wexler, Cosimo Matassa, Sir George Martin, Greil Marcus, Nick Toches,John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Jagger & Richards, Joe Strummer, Abe Lincoln, Sigmund Freud, Hugh Hefner, Elvis, Ghandi, the Buddha, Allah, Jesus Christ and Paris Hilton.....and many, many more
