Mark Buck is now joined by top notch drummer Justin Hildreth and bass supremo Derrick McIntyre. The band played support to Robben Ford on their first outing to rave reviews. Bernard Purdie veteran drummer for Dizzie Gillespie, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and Miles Davis, burst into the dressing room to say how great he thought the show was.
On Sunday night when the band really locked down the groove, collective jaws dropped when Derrick went to town on the bass and Justin followed with some tasty stick work. This is one band you must catch live.
Derrick can also be heard on the Jamiroquai album Dynamite and tours with Roy Ayers and Justin has toured with Joan Armatrding and many others.
Mark has played with many of the blues greats and says "Of all of them my favourite would be John Hammond, the grammy winning blues guitarist, I had the pleasure to support him for the third time and to his suggestion I went out and played solo, me a guitar and harmonica. Wow! it went down a storm, thanks John and Marla"
Later on stage, in the middle of his amazing set, John Hammond praised Mark describing him as "a phenomenal, young guitarist"
