Straight from North London, Kombo began spittin to hip hop first with his older brother Alpha, gettin on a couple of mixtapes in Europe. But it was in his final college days when he got heavily involved in Drum n Bass. Also met mc Format in college and this is when the duo was born. Due to hard work, both began to get bookings all over the country (Manchester, Leceister, Leeds, Bournemouth...) alongside some of the biggest names in the industry (Nicky Blkmarket, Pendulum, Moving Fusion, Ray Keith...), and it was not long before that Kombo landed himself a saturday night slot on the big Ruud Awakenin 104.3 (Big up Damaja, chillem and da rest of the fam!)
Slowly but surely Kombo began to make a little name for himself, putting alot of work in and comin with original flows. Him, Fomat and dj Slak formed I double K - Illicit Konduct Kru.
Last couple years have been good for Mc Kombo, keeping busy with bookings and studying at the same time, he has let his presence be known. After Ruud Awakenin being no more, Kombo moved on to Origin fm 95.2, taking the 12-2 set on thursday nights. U can also hear Kombo on World fm (interent radio, www.worldfm.co.uk). Kombo is also currently a 'Rollercoaster' resident down in Brixton.
Kombo is staying busy in 2006, starting work on some hip hop projects. After meeting Earlyman on the Lady Sovereign video shoot (9 to 5) these two have been hitting the studio whenever possible. Now the two are performing around London for NONSTOP records. Kombo is also working with Morgan, another member of the Spacek Soul System and things seem to only be getting better! 2006! year of the Kombo! EARLYMAN EP IS OUT NOW!!
