Failte -Welcome to Myspace. I welcome friends/musicians from the Four Provinces of Ireland, including the Ulster Scots,Britain and the United States and all the other countries around the world. I Love the wide open spaces of Ireland & Scotland where I lose myself in its history and beauty of the hills and mountains. Great for hiking too.I am a Big fan of our own Irish & Scottish Traditional Celtic/Folk Music and indeed from all over these islands. The Ireland today is not the same country where I grew up.We are no longer an Independent country. Ireland is Full Member of the European Union with 27 other countries. Well we had the Italians here since 1926, opened chippers all over Dublin. (A Wan & Wan -Fish & Frenchfries -Chips).And I just love Italian food. There are over 200,000 + Polish people living and working here as well as Hungarian, Romanian,Latvian,Basques, UK, + other EU Member States also Russian and some 47,000 people from Iran,Iraq Yemen and the African States.Many new cultures and bringing with them new new Music to Ireland.We also have some Yanks here. Many have being here since before the vietnam war. I'll say no more lol.The English & Welsh are also part of us too. Many of my friends and and family members have moved onto other countries within the EU Member states. Nothing is better than going out with my mates and going to concerts, gigs and the theatre. Give me a real log fire on cold cold winter nights and inviting friends round for supper at weekends and talk about Politics, or whatever is popular going at present. We are not Anti Brits either, as some half pissed off Irish would have you believe, and know nothing about our history or our new European status. Many Irish have done very well for themselves in Britain. And our music business would never have taken off without British backing. Nor are we Anti American, America took us during the famine years from 1843 and still do today.We would love to see our Irish folk returning to their native land from Australia,Canada, New Zealand, UK,USA and other parts of the world.
