Hi peeps! My Name is Laura McCormick and I work as a vocal entertainer (a posh way of saying singer lol)I am living in a small village in West Yorkshire near Leeds. There is more about me below from my biog on my official Website. www.lauramccormick.me.ukLaura McCormick was born on 2nd April, 1981 in Shewsbury, Shropshire, to parents Michael and Hilary. She spent her early years living in Nigeria returning to England at the age of six to attend school.She took dance and piano lessons and has always had a love of music and the arts, but excels in guitar, keyboard and vocals.Laura attended College to study Popular music from 1998-2000 gaining diplomas in music theory, and left to begin her singing career. She has worked continuously for the last Seven years showing off her vocals in clubs, pubs, hotels and holiday camps throughout the north of England, to much acclaim.Laura was awarded the most outstanding young female vocalist by the Wakefield, Pontefract and district federation of concert secretaries in 2000.In her spare time Laura enjoys writing poetry and has recently had three poems published as part of the 2006 National Poetry Anthology.I am currently working on my first album which is of a country/Rock style, i'll keep posted ..s and when that is completed I'll put some music up on here for you all to have a listen too ! x I have finished recording all the vocals on my album now,and the entire mix should be completed soon.Below are my gig posters :)
