About Me

Resonation have been best described as a bluesy wah wah drenched rocking Reggae band. We have a 5 piece line up and our full debut album is due for release in August 2009 through independent label 'Planet Gecko Reckords'. Upon our page is an early edition of our pre release CD and 2 live tracks to showcase our band. Two versions of our planned debut single 'Away' are included so that you can get a sense of the energy we create when performing live. We have played all over the UK including The Jug of Ale in Birmingham, The Trades Club in Hebden, The Brook in Southampton and most of the popular West Yorkshire music venues. We have also proven to be very popular at summer festivals having played at various events including a slot on the Glastonbury Glade stag (as an entry in their 'New Talent' competition), Birminghams Artsfest, Huddstock and WOYD (all in 2008). On our travels we have supported a number of established headline acts such as Dreadzone, Zion Train, and Gabbidon. We pride ourselves on putting on a great live musical experience & try to make sure our audiences leave with a high opinion of the band. We have a mailing list of over two hundred people and do everything we can to promote each of our gigs, our myspace page has had over 100, 000 visits and we are rapidly building a strong following. We have over an hour of original material plus can play an additional 45 minutes with well selected covers depending upon the requirements of the venue. At the moment the main aim is for us to gain awareness for our forthcoming release so we hope you can help us by booking us for a live performance. We are normally willing to operate under the usual booking terms of the venue or promoter (we understand that all venues operate in different ways).[LOVEMYFLASH]

Definitely the hottest reggae album in quite some time"LIVE REVIEW OF SCARBOROUGH BEACH FESTIVAL 2007 BY THE BBC 'LIVE AND UNSIGNED' (UK)"Resonation are not afraid to experiment in what they do. They are a concoction of reggae, ska, blues and rock. On this evidence you can tell why they’ve played in Europe, played Glastonbury and been praised by magazines worldwide. The West Yorkshire group are the most unique band of the weekend for me, which is why I liked them so much."
