His career as a dj picked up early 2003 with a spot @ the phattest underground house party Centurian has to offer, Amphibia 2, now called Apollo. From there he went to reside at a very hard lock every one inside party, Oude Kelder. 2004 saw the residence of Aqua Lounge in Rivonia every Thursday night for The Weekend Warmup as well as Blu Peppa in Centurian Waterfront every fri night and also a massive 5 hour Hardstyle set @ Zepplins, PTA, for the Hard Dance U4Ria. 2005 now and many things have happened for this talented up n coming DJAnd Producer. Residence @ Tigidis PTA and guest appearances @ the SMOOVE Parties and for the Portuguese Social and Mafia Parties held @ Recess in Hatfield Now halfway through this year, the Multi-Racial crew released their first 12 single Sis n Jones Feat. Kanyi Set Your Mind Free Unreleased is BenKay DJays Tech-Line Remix, which has been a hit in clubs such as Natural Groove and Truth. Thank you DJ Deepgroove for ripping the dancefloor with my track!!! BenKay DJay aka Bass Boy will be releasing his first Hardstyle E.P.. Including his original productions, namely, Bass Boy In The Beginning & Bass Boy Raise Your Hands Look For These in the record stores halfway through 2006!!! His music taste has been hugely influenced by his clubbing experiences @ Truth, and his friends. His main influences as DJs or mentors are Eddie Virgo, Morgan, Manuel Oettl, Deepgroove, Roger DLux (Scratchmaster!!), Ricardo Da Costa, Dj Fresh and all the rest @ USM. BenKay DJay was interviewed July 2004 by CTonik 4 the Mr. Spencer ravers internet review as an up an coming spin wizard. With underground tracks at his disposal, he could tear any crowd out of their apathy and onto the dancefloor!!! He is currently, every day working and running Multi-Racial Records (Record Bar, DJ School & Recording Studio) as Store manager This 22 year old knows what he is doing, running PTAs top record store, DJ to be no 1 someday and Producing tracks that are gonna kill the dancefloors!!! BenKay DJay and Andrew Chester (DJ McMurdo) are sole members of McKay Productions. They will be hosting events and helping DJs throughout Southern Africa with gigs as an agency and events management company. Their company and first event will be launched sometime towards the end of 2006.
