ANDREW MCMURDO CHESTER -DJ McMurdo seized the Electronic Dance Music Industry over 8 years ago, defining his illustrious music style through an array of genres that includes Deep sexy House ,Chunky House and only the finest Progressive House. His most defining characteristic is his passion for sexy, provocative vocal tracks; his flirting between brazen love and hedonistic debauchery guarantees dance floor upheaval! McMurdo has held residencies at Red Café; where he owned the deckspace for 2 years as the head DJ, moving onto various other clubs, this is where his mission for dancefloor domination saw him begin his own label, Adding a strong DJ team to join him on the journey, many of whom completed the line-up’s alongside Mcmurdo, playing to a regular dance floors of gyrating underground music fanatics. Showing the world his eloquent sound is just another dream on his to do list. His driving ambition and personal belief in affecting house music will see his sound is heard globally and he will stop at nothing to get there.In 2007 McMurdo moved his residency to ARUBA LOUNGE where you can find him on most weekends delivering only the best and most upfront tracks.In the Jan2008 issue( 35 ) of BPM (S.A) Mcmurdo & Benkay Djay were featured in a feature called HOUSE HEADS UP which gave way to their soundrepublic Dance Web Radio Show called the Phat & Filthy Selections.
On the 21 June 2008 The Phat & filthy crew held there very first Dance Web Radio event @ Aruba lounge with a packed house and a amazing response on photo views on harderfaster.net with over 5500 views, A new label was born.
As off Aug2008 Benkay & Mcmurdo spilt up The Phat & Filthy selections Radio show into The Phat & Filthy selections (Pretoria) Thursdays 12-2pm Benkay & Warren D
The Phat & Filthy selections (JHB) - Thursday 2pm-4pm with McMurdo & Lazy G .
Then came Aug 2008 Mcmurdo & Lazy G took over DANCE WEB RADIO (SOUNDREPUBLIC.CO.ZA. ) from Derek The Bandit , As their mission for
DANCE WEB RADIO DOMANATION began with a bang! With 20 shows a week they are sure to become a serious unit to party with as their knowledge of E.D.M is just so huge.
On the 1 NOV’08 the first Sound Republic arena was born @ Groove bar since the re- launch of the new DANCE WEB RADIO and once again The Phat & Filthy Crew were in top form.
Mcmurdo was featured LIVE on 5fm on 10/01/ 0'9(Catherine's live to the power of 5 ) and has also been featured many times on various other show's.
Mcmurdo has played along side most of S.A TOP DJ'S And has networked himself across the board and has managed to difine himself as a serious Entertainer and Business man.
Now in the driving seat in 2009, with a complete transformation of DANCE WEB RADIO-(SOUNDREPUBLIC.CO.ZA.)
