Origami Dinosaur

Come & take a trip with the hippies...

About Me

In 2005, two 17 year old best friends Kinsey Green & Mejelon Majones were up in a magical loft unknowingly creating what came to be Origami Dinosaur.

They started to write funny songs and found that they loved to make quirky little ditties. They decided to try their hand at some more serious music, taking inspiration from 60's psychadelia, funk and anything else they found interesting from rock right through to country music.
They created a sound of their own with a playful attitude and warm harmonies to build a fusion of bouncy, psychadelic funktry music.
Origami Dinosaur decided to record a demo in Dec '05 at Lo-Tek, resulting in producers Bombay Monkey working with the band. The hippies started to play out live in the summer of '06 with Afro Joe joining the mix.
Kooky drummer Rob O'Keeffe is the latest addition to the Barmy Origami Army and the band are currently jamming with other musicians in search of maximising their sound.
The new E.P. is now for sale for £5 (regular E.P.) or £8 (limited edition framed E.P.) ... songs on the E.P. are 'Barbarella', 'Here It Comes Again', 'Funk Soldier', 'Punk Rock Hippy Chick', 'Follow the White Rabbit' and 'Heavy Breathing. Just send us a msg if you want a copy.
You can visit www.origamidinosaur.com for more songs, or you could come see them live!
Peace and love hippies
