The sound is not unlike alchemy. We are constantly searching for the perfect balance of numbers - high magic through high maths. We mix the past with the present and the organic with the chemical. Most of our tracks weigh in at around three minutes - we wouldn't wanna bore anyone.
The Bombay Monkey brand of magic and science is channelled through an AKAI MPC. It's been described as 'atmospheric, rhythmic, heady, melodic or just plain funny.and sometimes all five'. We quite liked that.
We've had tracks played on XFM by Nick Luscombe on his Flomotion show, while a remix of Wasted by Mankato broadcast on Radio 1s Blue Room. Since June 06 it's all been about playing parties, club nights and festivals though... and rightly so.
