Sounds Like: sadness, blues, hope, happy, distortion and other political charged issues I live a musical life and I believe that it is the musicians who can soothe the pain and perhaps offer some insight and humor for this mixed up world we live in. I am currently performing solo acoustic music as Michael Carpenter. My music has been described as progressive Folk. My live style is acoustic guitar; melancholy originals mixed with some obscure 70's covers and a few strange songs mixed in.When I start writing it seems that I am usually reflecting on the sadness that I see in society. People keep busy doing their stuff, those things that we all use to distract ourselves from the loneliness and heartbreak that we go through. Through my music I hope people sense that I understand how bad things can be (been there, done that) and hope that someone may find some inner peace from my stories.
