About Me

What ya see is what ya get.....cept I like to boggle the mind by blowing the stereotypes:-) Chivarly is not dead, but I'll also tell ya a dayum funny dirty joke or two. Motorcycles are a large part of my life. My social group, family, friends, church, charity all rolled into one. I'm a member of BWC...you know, we throw a little party every year:-) called the "Toy Run". Actually, we raise a heck of a lot of money....then give it all away to some very worthy and wonderful charities. And have a heck of a good time doing it! Check out www.bikerswhocare.org for more. This profile is just a front page...wanna see what makes me tick? Read the blogs, baby!MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider

My Interests

Perpetually interested in something...latest book, newspapers daily, hanging with my friends on weekends....riding and tinkering with Harleys. Lately I've been all up into teaching myself to make this new 'puter do tricks...messing with tons of music, And I do love music! Some of the best music to be found is playing live in the Clarksville bars. I dig my cats, and my 28 year old Harley, too. Ain't nothin' like getting out and riding with all my friends! Pack of 2 to a pack of 200. Ahhh...I could wax poetic, but if I have to explain, you wouldn't understand. And more music! Biker events and music go hand in hand! Myself, I can halfway sing, can string together 4 or 5 chords on a guitar, and I play Djembe with Party Foul and sit in with Mike Robinson. 'Course I do find my best musical instrument to play is a stereo...I can play a mean lick on the stereo:-)

I'd like to meet:

YOU!....and her.....and the guitar player over there.....oh!...and her too....

Music:

Ecclectic tastes in tunes...leaning towards classic rock and blues. I can listen to and appreciate most anything....from classical to rap to country...some of it wears thin quickly tho. I like live music...good guitars...good singing...lately I've been diggin on a lot of John Prine. I'm a Deadhead from waay back, and like a lot of the "newer" jam bands, Phish, String Cheese Incident in particular. This "new country", well it sounds an awful lot like old southern rock/Skynyrd..cool with me.heh heh..and Kris Kristofferson could be singing about me in "Silver Tongued Devil". If I'm in an "old country" mood, I dig Willie and Johnnie Cash,or David Allen Coe and Hank (Jr and Sr) for the "hardcore" stuff. Of course, Stevie Ray Vaughn is one of my musical heros, and Johnnie Lang rocks. Vince Guaraldi is my fav jazzman, along with Wynton Marsalis. Rap...well...some of it is cool, altho I prefer music that actually takes talent with "real instruments", and I'm of the opinion that it is corrupting a whole segment of our society and youth (now that makes me sound like an old fart) I do dig the hell outa Kid Rock (white boy rap) and he can actually play the heck outa the guitar.I get a kick out of Hayseed Dixie, and the Kerosene Bros. when I want a bluegrass fix. And I can't stop without mentioning The Ballistic Pintos and Dean Hall/The Loose Eels, two of my favorite not quite famous local playing bands. Gotta tip the hat to 'ol Amadeus, Ludwig, and Johann too. I like listening to a symphony, and picking out one instrument...following that part...then switching to another instrument....then listening to the piece as a whole....mental/aural calistenics if you will. Or ADD......

Movies:

Not really a film buff.....will sit with popcorn on occaision.

Television:

Mostly discovery, national geo, history stuff if I watch at all....racing every once in a while.

Books:

From Harry Potter, to The Bible, to the back of the nearest cereal box, I'm always reading something. I read around a dozen newspapers a week (I happen to print them as well), magazines, books, encyclopedias....if it'll hold still long enuff, I'll read it! I'm an avid blog reader and writer here on this Space we call My....the blog is where it's at!

Heroes:

Mel Blanc....vocal and comedic genius. Peter Pan....never grow up....dammitt! Samuel Clemmens/Mark Twain, Albert Einstein, Arlen Ness
