About Me

My real name is Brent. My nickname is Hog. Some folks also know me as Fried Okra.Don't know why, but it seems that someone always has given me a nickname(EG calls me Trent). My current occupation is farming. I grow produce, mostly vegetables at the present, although I'm in the slow process of switching over to fruits, such as apples, grapes, and a variety of berries,some unusual fruits, and perennial flowers( my wife is in charge of most of the flowers). These take a few years until they're ready for harvest and sale, so I gotta wait. Hopefully I'll have a few of these ready for next year, but the majority will still be in the process of reaching maturity. I'm planning on keeping the fruits organic, if possible. Previously, I worked for the park service for 20 years. Cool job, crappy pay. At heart, I'm a musician, even though I'm not that good of one. I love to hear it, and play it. All the time. Sometimes it seems almost like a disease, or a curse. It's always on my brain. I guess in reality it's a blessing. It sure can help you get through some hard times. Music can be more powerful and influential than most people realise. As for what type of music I like, I really have no preferences. Long as it comes from the heart and soul.ABOUT MY TOP 24 MYSPACE FRIENDS: Probably 90% of the people or bands I have listed as friends are actual people I've met and consider friends or I know of them through a friend.There's a few bands/artists that I don't know at all,but I like their music.Since I now have over 50 friends I can't list everyone in my top 24.So I'm gonna start rotating some around occasionally.Got to give some of these bands a little exposure if you hear what I'm screaming.
