Commodore Arthas

Most of his past is unknown, especially his childhood. The only information of his family is that he is believed to be the son of Terenas Menethil, ruler of a kingdom that fell during the great scourge. No one knows what happened from his birth until his first sighting in Toledo, Spain. The first official record of the existence of Arthas was his entrance into the religious service of the local archbishop at age 8. After 10 years, Arthas was expelled for conducting experiments that were "not of God".Arthas was then drafted into the Spanish Navy, he was made an officer due to his royal birth. Arthas soon learned the ways of the sea, and was promoted to first mate of the heavy cruiser El Cristal del Obispo. Ironically, that vessel was under the command of a man known only as "The Inquisitor", a man that was ordered to sail the seven seas and hunt down those creatures that offended God. Those targets included sea monsters, pirates, and the undead sailors, known only as the cursed. During the course of a battle against the Cursed flagship Executioner, Arthas was able to slip aboard, in the midst of battle and make a bargain with "El Fantasma", the commander of the Cursed fleet. Arthas would be granted immortality, control over the dead, and the ability to use dark magick. In return, his soul was to be bound to the sea, and his humanity was to be stripped away, replaced with the curse of undeath. The battle, though many ships were sunk, ended without a clear winner, and Arthas returned to El Cristal del Obispo. His meeting however, did not go unnoticed, and he was exiled to the nearest island, and left to die.Using his newfound power, Arthas was able to raise the dead that laid on the ocean floor from the battle. He had those lost souls rebuild one of the sunken wrecks, to take as his flagship. Arthas, could feel his mortal soul being peeled away by the fierce, howling winds. He decided to rename his newly rebuilt prize, the Feral Wind. After his army of undead had made the ship seaworthy again, Arthas set sail for the nearest Pirate stronghold to recruit more members to his cursed crew.Arthas found, however that some could not handle the great power he bestowed upon his crew. One such creature, was found to have been caught red-handed starting a mutiny. She was tossed overboard like the WHALE she was, while the rest of the mutineers were exiled.
