Now...have you been looking for something EXCITING to do in garb? Feeling that urge to go Medieval lately? We are gearing up for our 2008 season!Be escorted back through time and history to the Romantic age of Geoffrey Chaucer at the Third annual Acadiana Medieval Faire in 2008. The Acadiana Medieval faire is a recreation of a Medieval spring market faire similar to those found during the late Gothic period of continental Europe. Historically these faires were seasonal and most towns had at least two a year. The spring faire season also marked the beginning of the pilgrimage season. On your visit to the Acadiana Medieval Faire your will encounter lively characters from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales on their journey to the shrine of St. Thomas a Becket. Explore their tales as you shop in a unique Medieval-style market place, listen to authentic early music, watch a show from the Middle Ages, or indulge in the spicy food that is the trade mark of Cajun Country. The third annual Acadiana Medieval Faire will be heldMarch 29 - April 1, 2008 in Grand Coteau, LA, just outside Lafayette.WE WANT TO THANK OUR FANS!!
