About Me

I'am a runaway locomotive out of my one track mind.I have never had a good job or much money but I am one of the happiest people I know.I have a great wife and two great kids and they make me smile every day.I think I make a bad first impression.I am morally conservative,socially liberal,and politically radical.At least thats how I see it.I'am five foot eleven but I never round it off to six foot.I've only had one girlfriend in my whole life and I'am glad that's the way it is. I think more than I act.I finally learned a great lesson when I was about 14 or 15,that I was never going to fit in,so for the most part I quit trying.There is a lot of freedom in that.I have found over the years that people feel like they can say what ever they want to me know matter how hurtful it might be and they just expect me to take it.I don't think that's imagined on my part either because I have had people often say "I can't believe he/she said that to you".This seems to come from everybody from family down to total strangers.I don't know why that is.Maybe I am nonthreatening.Brings up the old question is it better to be feared or loved.Sometimes that's a hard one to answer.I like junk food.I think people drink sweet tea just so they can say sweet tea.I think people with gardens grow way to many tomatoes because they are always trying to give some away.I think brownies are a near perfect food when done right and should not have nuts, icing, or caramel added.I love movies and music but I can't stand musicals.I find sports to be boring but I like boxing and guns.It seems I sometimes "crack people crazy".I have lived in several places in Kentucky and Tennessee.I love to travel but I like to stay home.I am inside more than outside by choice.I am not sure who I think killed JFK.I once saw Mormons ride bicycles through hail and high water. I once saw softball sized hail.I am a southerner who doesn't like homemade ice cream or beans and cornbread.I once had two transmissions in two different cars go out in the same day.I think I may need to rattle my own cage.I am not a team player.You probably don't know me.

My Interests

Miss Vicki and the fine art of being a Daddy.The Florida east coast.Country ham with extra salt.Moonlite BBQ.Music.movies,reading,talking sass,pop culture,folklore(especially the werid and strange),cryptozoology,history,assassination,lost treasure,Ebay,antiques,legends,daydreaming about getting even,the silliness of both local and national politics,and of course snack foods.Oh yeah,and pirates.

I'd like to meet:

Most of the good ones are dead.Of the living:Billy Joe Shaver,Billy Bob Thorton,Robert Duvall,,Joel and Ethan Coen,Kieth Richards,Evel Knievel,Dexter Romweber and the children of Lee Harvey Oswald.Evel Knievel the first to die from this list,Rest In Peace.

Music:

I love music.Some of my favorites,The Codenames,Johnny Cash,Todd Snider,Tommy Womack,Billy Joe Shaver,The Rolling Stones,Lucinda Williams,Roy Orbison,Flat Duo Jets andBuddy Holly.

Movies:

When I was a kid we never went to the movies.Maybe on rare occasion a Disney movie.We had no VCR only what movies we could see on TV.When I got my first job I started going to the movies and I was hooked.Forget about waiting for the video release the theater is the place to really see a movie.I love movies.Wish I had more time and money for movies.I like Open Range,John Woo's The Killer,Sling Blade,Walk The Line,Dutch,All The Pretty Horse's and Shag just to name a few.

Television:

Don't watch a ton, but when I do it is some of the better sitcoms,History Channel,Antiques Roadshow,Austin City Limits,Edge Of Country,Seinfeld reruns,Sunday Morning Shootout,History Detectives on PBS (That is one of my dream jobs to be one of the guys on that show) and a little bit of news but that tends to aggravate me.

Books:

I like nonfiction.History,biographies,and crime.Books about Johnny Cash,Jack The Ripper,legends and different people.

Heroes:

Cole Greenwalt,Jody Greenwalt, and Carrie Nation.That young Orson Wells was an interesting guy.

Bad Dreams Bad Jobs Update.

They are back with a vengeance.Most seem to involve bad jobs but i had one the other night that had people inside snow globes bossing me around and people impersonating my grandmothers.

Cassie In Stitches!

Not only does Cassie keep us in stitches now she put herself in some.Last night she tried to grab Cole's leg as he ran down the hall and ended up in the Emergency room getting seven stitches.
