I started singing & took piano at 5 yrs old with Maude B. Cummings Taylor (MBC), former Minister of Music for Cornerstone Baptist Church in Brooklyn for approximately 45 yrs. I’ve been on stage since the age of 6 via National Teachers’ Guild auditions every year at Carnegie Recital Hall & Town Hall; MBC Studios annual recitals at Carnegie Recital Hall & Town Hall; started voice lessons at 11 yrs old; scholarship for organ lessons at 11 yrs old. I started playing & directing choirs at 13 yrs old. While attending the High School of Music & Art, I started teaching piano privately in several boroughs & sang on WNYC which aired every Sat morning. Upon graduating from M&A, I did a solo recital which was covered by the Amsterdam News. I received a scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music majoring in Voice. I continued as Minister of Music at Tabernacle Baptist church, playing the organ/piano & directing the four choirs of the church. While I was in college & thereafter, I taught piano privately in students’ homes and at the MBC Music Studios. I also directed youth choirs & was assistant organist at Bethel SDA Church. Under my company, IN ONE ACCORD PRODUCTIONS, I booked musicians for 10 years for ‘Gospel in the Park’ at Prospect & Fort Greene Park AND for various other venues. i.e. concerts, banquets, etc. I worked as Musical Director for several concerts. While singing as a soloist through the years, I sang with ORION, a choir made up of church folk & studio people, i.e. Yvonne Lewis, former backup for Luther Vandross; Dennis Collins, backup for Roberta Flack; Yolanda McCullough, former backup for Ashford & Simpson; Luther Vandross’ two sisters, etc. We sang at church services and other venues.I directed & presented a Gospel in the Park in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park in 2000, and will be doing some more events like that in the near future. As the first Minister of Music of Kingsboro Temple of Seventh-day Adventists in 1991-1994, I booked many musicians & started the first choir of the church. Many calls for musicians came my way [& still do] for various church services & programs, banquets, weddings, etc. In 2002 I started the IN ONE ACCORD MUSIC STUDIOS [housed in the Bethel Elementary School], teaching piano, voice, theory, & ear training. My students are presented in an annual recital. 2006/7 I was Music Teacher for Flatbush Elementary School where I was also the school choir director. I’m still singing & booking musicians for church & other venues. Also, at present, I'm booking artists for WKBT, an Internet radio station.I recently started an online business as an Independent Distributor for HERBALIFE. Check out my website:
