CHARLES PERRY affectionately known as "Charlie" began singing at the tender age of five, as most great vocalists, his singing career emerged out of the Black Church. By the age of thirteen, he was featured on the album of Montel Thomas, which hit the Billboards, entering in at number 10. From age sixteen to present, Charles, teenage singing sensation, was the youngest actor to earn a theatre role in Vy Higginson's, highly acclaimed musical, "Mama, I Want to Sing". While performing in "Mama", he was afforded the opportunity to sing alongside and grab the attention of singing greats, such as, Grammy-Award winners CeCe Winans and Shirley Ceasar, not to mention, Stacy Francis and Shana from the "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack, while performing live in New York's Madison Square Garden. Charles has toured with R&B legends, Regina Belle and Stephanie Mills, continuing on vocally with Tonya Blount, Grammy-Award winners Lisa Fischer. The futuristic legend, starred in a play called "This is my Song", with Cissy Houston and Tramaine Hawkins. His television credits include, "The David Letterman Show", "The Michael Jackson 25th Anniversary Special", singing background with such artists as Liza Minelli, Whitney Houston, Usher, Luther Vandross, 98 Degrees, Marc Anthony and Michael Jackson. Charles has worked with Rap Icons, De La Soul, and was featured on their album "The Grind", which he appeared on their hit song "Reality". He has also recorded with Stellar Award Nominee, James Hall & Worship and Praise at Foxwoods.
