Joe Hill and me :)

About Me

My name is Cheryl, nickname is CJ. Met a guy named Mike at Unity College in '89, fell in love, got married in '92. Six years later Jake entered our world. Six years later, weird coincidence? we bought our first puppy, a tan & white colored beagle which Mike named Wolfgang. I nicknamed him Wolf from The Talisman but mostly just call him Wolfie. He's my 2nd child, I will be crushed when he's gone.
I'm a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox & New England Patriots and my husband can attest to the fact that I turn into a raving lunatic when they are losing. The profanity just flies, I can't help it!@&#;19!$ --------------------------- 100% TRUE Red Sox Fan, PLAY ON!

--------------------------------
I've worked FT and PT at the same company for the last 17 yrs. It's definitely not what I'd like to be doing. I haven't applied elsewhere so It's my own fault. I'd love to be a writer but I think people are either born readers OR writers and I lack the confidence to make a go of it. Although, I'm sure it can be learned I would have to really apply myself to see what may come of it. But man, I get these wild ideas outta the blue at times and think Yea, that could be a cool novel!
My biggest hobby/pasttime ok...obsession, would have to be Stephen King, as I consider myself to be his number one fan. Now don't get me wrong, I do realize I'm not the only one who thinks that way and the other fans would probably agree with me, we feel in our hearts we are just that, his number one fan. :)
I've had many dreams about him over the years, they usually consist of me at a signing or on the street asking him to sign some books. Yes, my goal is to get a complete signed collection someday.
Since '00 I've met him a handful of times all due to the online King group: SKEMERs. My default pic was taken at a school fundraiser in VT in 2005. I feel compelled to give him gifts whenever I see him. At this event I gave him a Red Sox T-shirt which read, 'NOW I CAN DIE IN PEACE' with the 2004 champ logo on it. He genuinely liked it and mentioned it on Conan O'Brien some months later. I was Thrilled! Course he didn't remember my name so he said 'someone' gave him a shirt. *Yes, I AM SOMEONE!*
If you haven't read him before because you don't like the movies, try Bag of Bones or Different Seasons or The Stand. Trust me folks you cannot judge his work by the movie adaptions. My 4 favorites are The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, The Mist and Stand By Me. But the books are always better!----------------------------------------

I'd like to meet:

Well, I've already met my idol, SK. I'd love to meet Mel Brooks but I don't see it happening unfortunately. BUT I met the next best thing to Mel on March 27th, Gene Wilder! Young Frankenstein is the best movie ever!(Willy Wonka, too) I don't know WHY they remade that movie. Johnny Depp is some serious eye candy(not in that movie) but he did NOT do Gene's role justice AT ALL! History of the World part 1, Dracula Dead and Loving It & Spaceballs are my favorite Brooks' also. I can't even begin to count the number of laughs & quotes I've shared with my son and friends from these films over the years. Click here for some funny clips! -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Take the quiz:
Which Stephen King novel do you best belong in?

You belong in THE STAND.
You look around at where you are---and all you can see is vast emptiness. No cars are passing by. No people walking around. No animals scurrying around. It's all just empty vastness. You are alone---and to soon die if you don't find shelter or food---or any other life form to cheer you up. Consider yourself fuckin' lucky, your one of the fortunate ones that are immune to this disease that wiped out nearly the entire population of Planet Earth. This is the world of Stephen King's virus swept America.
Quizzes by myYearbook.com -- the World's Biggest Yearbook!
-------------- I recommend everything written by Robert McCammon, most everything by Dean Koontz and remember the name, Joe Hill. Heart-Shaped Box and 20th Century Ghosts are his two books thus far and a comic series, Locke & Key. Also, Gene Wilder's work!

Heroes:

=========================================== Our military. I don't believe in war and certainly not this one, but I understand our brave men and women have no choice to go when called upon. So.... Support our troops, END THE WAR!--------------BUSH IS EVIL!-----
