Jairus (RIP)

Mark my words, no regrets!

About Me

Jairus is made up of five individuals with a passion for sincere and forward-thinking music. Our music is our way of expressing how we feel about our lives and the world that surrounds them, it's as real as you can get...During our five years together we have toured in Finland, Spain, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Holland, Belgium, Denmark and Japan. We have met some wonderful people and played with some incredible bands such as Hopesfall, Shai Hulud, The Haunted, Pelican, Girls Against Boys, Last Days Of April, Heaven Shall Burn, Walls Of Jericho, 27, Deluge, Stampin' Ground, Cry For Silence, Aconite Thrill, Secondsmile, November Coming Fire, The Stiff, In.Stora...
Our album 'The Need To Change The Mapmaker' was released on Skipworth Records on 22nd March 2004, and our self-titled EP was released on 21st November 2005 on BSM (www.bsmrocks.com). At the moment we are currently writing and rehearsing, ready to tour again in 2007 with our new material. Our new album will also be released on BSM in 2007, more on that soon! You can hear a new demo-song on this page, entitled 'Fallen Patricia'. It was recorded and mixed at The Manor Studio (www.myspace.com/themanorstudio) by Dan, and features Dan playing drums as well as guitar until we find a permanent drummer!
Below is Jairus's first music video. It was filmed on a cold weekend in November 2006, and we had an amazing time taking part in it. We hope you enjoy watching it!

A MESSAGE FROM DAN:
The above video is a collection of stills from our first 2 Baltic States tours in early 2004, it's pretty bad quality but heart-warming all the same! Filmed and photographed mainly by Skippy from Skipworth Records, check out how young we all look!
The below video was filmed by myself and Skippy in Japan (December 2004) and Eastern Europe (January 2005)...It's a collection of live video clips which I've managed to sync up to Ara Pacis!

The video below was filmed and edited by Rhys from Our Own Devices. It's a short documentary/slideshow of the Jairus/Our Own Devices mini-tour in Latvia, January 2007, enjoy! Xx
