About Me

Perhapsy is an instrumental collaboration between musician friends in the Ann Arbor area. Initiated by jazz student Derek Barber, the quintet translates his song-based, guitar-driven compositions into an engaging live performance. Fleshed out with a full band and elements such as accordian, glockenspiel, and sonic experimentation, each song leads through lush, evocative passageways, familiar but also new and exciting. Derek is also an ongoing member/guitarist for The Winston Jazz Routine, Every Gentle Air, and other Ohio friends. (Bio by Ryan Weberling).
