Guitar & Sweat from Milano, Italy

About Me

Imodium history started in 1999 in Milano, Italy. They began playing indy grunge music and recorded some demotapes and singles that put the band into italian alternative music scene. Then they started a serious live activity, performing on short time in many places. In 2001 they were noticed by Decibel Records, an indy label, that produced their first official full-lenght Cd: "Imodium", rough mixture of seminal punk/grunge and noise/alternative. Because of this CD the name of the band become known in the rest of Italy. Some songs were published on samplers and on alternative radio. Due some problems Dave the drummer left Imodium, leaving the place to Mirko. This is the current list of Imodium members: Sandro, Simone, Peppe and Mirko. In 2003 they presented "Nowhere Ep", a 4 track CD. With this CD in their hands, the band decided to intensify the rate of their performances. In March 2004 they went to Fear Studio (one of the best studios in Italy) to record a new album, style was between emo and indierock. It was out only one year later, because new style. So from the first months of 2005 album was out and they called it: "...and so:dodgem songs", it was published by Vacation House Records – historical Italian label. Italian press wrote very good reviews about this album and started promotion in all over Europe. In the last months, Imodium found distribution all around the world and had intensive tour in Europe (during 7 months in 18 countries). After 5th European tour, Imodium released the 4th album (october 2007). Album was called "Drive" and had 11 new songs in coproduction with DIY label from Italy, Turkey, Lithuania, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Usa e Australia. In november 2007 started the first European tour to promote this album.See details on our web site www.imodium.it!
