The idea H - STRYCHNINE was born in the middle of 1998. In a short period of time the band composes a variety of songs which permits it to take part in the “Dose your hate tour 98” with over 60 concerts all over Italy, on stage with numerous Italian bands already known, such as PUNKREAS, VERDENA, UNWELCOME, LINEA 77, GF93, CRACKDOWN, ADDICTION.Between March and April 99 the band goes into the studio to record its first demo “REACH”, which becomes a micro CD published by NO-BRAIN RECORDS in July 99. The same month the band is on the TENT-STAGE of the BEACH BUM FESTIVAL in Jesolo, where they find themselves together with NOFX, H20, LAG WAGON, CHEMICAL BROTHERS, PAVMENT, DOG EAT DOG.After the summer, reviews start coming out on REACH (the most important: being considered for the CD sampler on the ROCKSOUND September edition), and H – STRYCHNINE plays with foreign bands in the size of EARTHTONE 9, GODFLESH, L7, DJ BUG, BURNING HEADS, TWICE.In fall 2000 H – STRYCHNINE takes part in the TV shows HELP and ROXY BAR broadcasted on Video Music and presented by RED RONNIE.In 2001 the band starts with the records for their new album PLAY WITH KITES, containing 11 new songs, published by AMMONIA RECORDS and distributed by V2 / Sony. In the same period of time REACH gets stamped again by AMMONIA RECORDS – V2 / Sony.In February 2002 H – STRYCHNINE open stage for the ROLLINS BAND. In April 2003 they support STONE SOUR (a split project by the singer of the SLIPKNOT).The band has 2 videos PRYSON FAMILY and CREATE, still on air on ROCK TV and MTV. In summer 2003 H – STRYCHNINE was chosen by ALGIDA for the promotion of the “CORNETTO FREE MUSIC EVENT”. For that purpose they recorded a TV spot that was broadcasted on all Italian stations.After the leaving of MAURO, the singer, for the reason of stylistic questions, it was decided to continue with the project. The sound gets modified, becomes more sophisticated, still maintaining however its sharpness and sound impact, with WESLY the new singer.The new formation and also the new music stile is now characterized by stoner – rock – grunge and by the influence of electric sound sometimes predominant.Currently the band is preparing for the summer tour with the new LineUp: GIAMPY on drum and MEZZO on vocals and programming...
