The Band Divert was formed in 2005. It can be considered an offspring of the band Brain Damage since the bass player, guitarist and drummer are the same in both bands. They are joined by Sanya, the experienced vocalist who had taken the lead in other core bands like Komasvutra, Trauma... and Milan, a.k.a. Stoo(pie) - the percussionist from Krusevac (Papa Nik, Datura Buka...). In March 2005, Divert had it's debut gig, in Pozarevac, and since then, a huge number of gigs for Serbian standards, in Pozarevac, Petrovac, Kostolac, Golubac... This year, Divert won the 6th Sumadijski Demo Fest in Kragujevac and played in RASTOK festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By the end of this year (2007), the debut album is finally hitting the road, as is the debut music video. What is characteristic for Divert is heavy sound, interesting, aggressive female vocals, acoustic percussions and a happy mood, especially when performing live. Lyrics are in English, and of course, we do not play covers.Bend Divert postoji od 2005. godine. Moglo bi se reci da je Divert potekao od benda Brain Damage iz Pozarevca, obzirom da su Petra (bubanj), Goyko (gitara) i Lane (bas) svirali u istom. Njima se prikljucuju Milan, a.k.a. Stoo(pie), perkusionista iz Krusevca (Papa Nik, Datura Buka...) i Sanya, iskusna pevacica vise teskih bendova (Komasvutra, Trauma...). Marta 2005., Divert ima prvu svirku u Pozarevcu. Sledi jos koncerata u Pozarevcu, Petrovcu, Golubcu, Kostolcu... U Kragujevcu, Divert pobedjuje na 6. Sumadijskom Demo Festu, a 3. avgusta ima svoj prvi nastup van Srbije, na festivalu Rastok u Bosni i Hercegovini.
Do kraja ove godine (2007) zavrsava se prvi album, a nakon toga sledi promocija istog po svim mestima otvorenim za svirke. U pripremi je i prvi video spot za jednu od pesama. Ono sto Divert cini prepoznatljivim je tvrda svirka, zanimljiv, agresivan zenski vokal i akusticne perkusije i veselo raspolozenje uz sve to, sto posebno dolazi do izrazaja na nastupima benda. (Za sada) tekstovi su na engleskom, i ako je potrebno naglasavati, naravno da sviramo iskljucivo svoje stvari.
