The band strongly desired by me (Giacomo) and my brother (Marco), was born in june 2002 from the need to play an old school hc that should has come from the 80s sounds with the typical characteristics of old Italian school hc so loved and known in the world.The idea of singing in our mother tongue surely reminds many legendary bands like Indigesti, Negazione, Sottopressione etc. and enables us to have a more direct and immediate approach to express our ideas, sensations and feelings. Thats the reason of our decision to keep the Italian language also for the name of the band and after many suggestions we decided for Ingegno della Cultura.Getting immediately down to work during that summer weve obstinately looked for the last members of the band in our hometown (Perugia, in the middle of Italy near Rome).
We were looking for guys who had the same passion as us and after several searches, at the beginning of the autumn, the band was ready to start.After a series of shows everywhere in our country during the first half of 2003, we went to Rome at our friends studio to record 6 songs, 5 of these tracks are out on Nemart Independent Music Federation from Budapest (www.nemart.hu). We've recorded 4 more songs in june 2004 and now a new full length cd (9 songs) is out on italian Hurry Up! Records (www.hurryuprecs.com).During our first tour in east Europe in august 2003 we had the pleasure to meet and play with great bands of the european and world hc scene like Pointing Finger, Confronto, Nueva Etica, Hold x True etc. In December 2003 weve been on tour through all the iberic peninsula (Spain-Portugal) for 10 days and weve been to France in february 2004 for other 10 days playing in wonderful places and meeting fantastic people. We've toured again Europe in the summer 2004 and we've been to the USA for a two weeks tour in august 2005 and to Brazil in april/may 2006 for about 20 days playing 10 shows.Since november 2003 we decided to cut our band name to Ingegno.
