I the first spent 7 years of my childhood in the most northern settled place in the US, a village in Alaska called Pt. Barrow-above the Arctic Circle. My parents taught Native American Eskimos...24 hours of darkness all winter, daylight all summer, below zero with the windchill factor. After that, I lived on an island off the coast of New Hampshire. I am a New England girl at heart. A mild New England accent turns me on, The Red Sox get me excited (it's mandatory for a good New Englander!) I will not shy away from a good fight with a Yankee's fan! Thinking of McDonald's summer lobster roles makes me nostalgic and hungry. Wildly independent, I'm Pro-growth and learning from ones mistakes, I own UP and own IT. I fight for what I believe in, ask about what I do not know, and am never afraid of being perceived as a ditz. I've been called quirky, kooky, "Mary Poppins with a machine gun" and "The Naughty June Cleaver"; been known to lace my expensive red wine with Equal, been shushed at the dinner table, been accused of having no edit button. I'm way too chatty--- at times I use chattiness to hide what's really going on. The walls around me are extremely thin but THERE. I can be opinionated and not waive in my beliefs, but always open to be proven wrong. If the truth is there-- give me a day or two, I'll come around. I'd love to be a better listener. I'm working on that! Loyal to a fault, I see the best in those who are close and tend to trust them implicitly. However, if you cross me once, there may be a second chance in me, but I don't believe in getting fooled thrice. I miss the naive girl that moved to LA with stars in her eyes and rose colored shades, but I much prefer the here and now, seeing the world through my reading glasses.
