Embrace today. Tomorrow is promised to no one.

About Me

"When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way... so I stole one and then asked him to forgive me." (Emo Philips) Hello and welcome! I hope your brief stay here will be a peachy experience. My BLOGS are PUBLIC, so you're invited to VIEW ALL. Now, first things first. I'm willing to talk about anything as long as it's interesting and/or real. Genuine discourse. Or as Gwen would put it, "I ain't no Hollaback Boy."... I respect each of you, so every exchange will be kept confidential, and I don't judge. Think of this place as a safe haven, a late night pillow. Think of me as your friend... Note: I only invite/accept WOMEN to this site (Boop-Oop-A-Doop!). Here are my reasons for that. (1) I'm straight and I dig women (2) I find women more interesting to talk with (3) I'm a bit protective of my friends here, so I don't want them bombarded with coarse emails from a friend of mine who's simply stalking my female friends (4) And frankly, I have enough male friends in real life. I'm not here to make any more. So...... that said, now on to writing about myself. I'm a musician (guitar/keyboards) and a hack writer. I'm a vegetarian, and I'd say I'm a spiritual person. I'm aware of a thing or two, but I don't practice religious rituals or subscribe to any mass movement. It's not for me. Basically, I reject closed-systems of thought that immediately exclude people of different beliefs or persuasions. I think that "fellowship" has its place - in proper measure - but I've noticed that my faith operates more smoothly and consistently when I stay away from all the erroneous teaching and legalistic messages. It's the old, "Preach a little grace this week, preach a little sin the next, but always, always ask 'em for mo' money." I prefer to fellowship with God's family in a more natural, uncontrived environment. I love people of all races, ages and beliefs. Like rivers flowing to the same destination, we're all just trying to follow the light in our own way, and God is big enough and compassionate enough for everyone. It makes sense that God would be cross-cultural and manifest the truth in various ways. The house of God cannot be divided for we are bound by Love which defies catagorization. Dissension is the handywork of powerful men who wield propaganda to deceive the masses. Look, it doesn't matter whether you're a Buddhist, Christian, Muslim or Hindu, or whether you practice religion at all. What matters is your feeling of oneness with humankind and the compassion you show to individuals.I believe that the bulk of organized religion is a lie, a big scam. It's a man-made system that was designed to manipulate people's thoughts in order to control their behavior. It's the oldest form of cloning. Don't get me wrong, I love God. I just don't care for the facade of organized religion with its heirchy of leadership. I see it as a devious and perverse scheme to build empires, gain power, and accumulate money. Religion, Government, and the Media. They are the unified Monster that I refer to as "The World". More accurately, the Principalities and Powers ruling and controlling the masses... You can never accuse me of being too shy to express my views. But apart from my convictions, I take very few things seriously. I'm a clown, if you want to know the truth. A clown who's never wanted to grow up. As a result, my outlook tends to be very child-like. Not naive, just simple and uncluttered. I try not to worry or fret about tomorrow. It's not always easy, but that's where my faith kicks in. The Lord has never let me down. It's been my uninspired expectations that have disappointed me.To make the financial ends meet, I'm a production accountant. I'm easy-going. Get along with nearly everyone. If I don't, well, sometimes that happens. I try to find some common ground and work from there... but I don't like drama and I steer clear of people who live for it. Excitable or irascible people annoy me. I choose peace over strife, and serenity over hysteria. ~~~ In romance women seem to find me mildly attractive, caring, witty, immensely charming (yuck, yuck), intelligent, interesting and funny... What a bunch of bullshit! They're hiding something. I actually think they're drawn to my average build, my insecurities, and my receding hairline. Well, maybe they are... "Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. Dey's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. Tha - that's about it." Family Guy: Where's My Money? "The Jetsons" featuring Al Pacino (offensive language)

My Interests

Cracking myself up, nature, books/bookstores, zoos, screenwriting, basketball, football, sea aquariums, astrophysics, metaphysics, nanotechnology, obsurdly outlandish views, expounding my own smart-ass opinions, enlightening conversations, playing guitar, composing songs on the piano, being uncomposed, staying up all night and sleeping all day, outdoor festivals, concerts.

(Deepak Chopra)"People are always suffering either from what happened yesterday or what may happen tomorrow. So your suffering is always about that which does not exist, simply because you're not rooted in reality. You're rooted in your mind. One part of it is memory. Another part of it is imagination. Both of them are, in one way, imagination because both of them don't exist right now." (Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev)... Television:

Discovery Channels, PBS, Animal Planet, AMC, Sci Fi, A&E, National Geographic, IFC, Sundance, Bravo, CNN, History Channels, and all the standard subscriber movie, music, and cartoon channels, etc. I rarely watch network television. It's too boring, it softens the brain, and it's a major tool of government and religious propaganda.

Well, I must admit to you that I haven't read a book in a number of years. Not good for the soul. Gotta do better.
