Information about Invictus will be issued shortly.. They are in the studio at the moment, recording songs which will be on their debut album `Out Of The Night`.. For the time being they have placed a live recording of the song ´In the Stilly Night´ which was recorded in London March 2006..
And their title song ´Out Of The Night´ with words from William E Henley and music of Andre Wall. Band name Invictus is inspired by the Henley poem.
POETRY: It was quite literarily on the stage that poetry´s history began. In ancient Rome poems were sung from the stage. William Shakespeare´s sonets were written to music and that Blake composed music to his poems.
The impulse that beauty generates, is the driving force behind Invictus´s efforts and dedication to increasing the appreciation of poetry of the English language. By drawing attention to the work of the Poets, great and small, it is hoped that many listeners and readers alike, will find inspiration and solace, and a sweetening of solitude itself with the companionship of those wise and good that went before us.
