About Me

Laurence Currie is one of the East Coast of Canada's busiest and most acclaimed audio recording specialists. Previous partner of Idea Of East Recording Studios, he has recently moved into the virtual realm of sound production.

Becoming mobile--and moving effortlessly between his Nova Scotia home and his newer stomping ground of Toronto--Currie has retained his many connections in Canada's recording scene. Adapting to the new portable realities of hard-drive audio systems and endless flexible production approaches, Laurence has brought many of his current recording clients forward into the 21st Century. Clients receive the same attention to detail, creative input and astute sound craftsmanship they've come to expect, along with Laurence's ability to adapt to the needs of the modern recording artist.

Armed with one of the most impressive resumes in Eastern Canada --including 2 Gold Record Awards, a juno and the 2005 and 2007 Music Nova Scotia Industry Award for Audio Engineer of the Year-- he has become one of the most sought after Producers/Engineers from the East Coast Music scene of Canada.
