About Me

Heather was born on a sunny autumn afternoon in good ol’ September ’85. Ever since then she has been a whirlwind of things and stuff. Heather took a strong interest in both music and photography at a very young age (around three). While her friends were listening to Backstreet Boys, she was listening to The Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot and The Cure. Since then she has discovered the greatness of Canadian independent music and has fallen head over heels for the music of Two Hours Traffic , Charlemagne , Dan Griffin and Joel Plaskett . Of course she still loves the classics of Gordon Lightfoot, Elvis Costello and David Bowie.

Heather has spent many years in the post-secondary school system trying to figure out what she is meant to do with her life. In 2006 she found out that art is really the only thing she is good at. It was decided that she was to pursue a career as a photographer. More recently Heather teamed up with her friend Dee to make another one of her dreams come true; they created Quarry Records to promote great Canadian music.

Heather is often criticized for her Darwinist beliefs (by her mother) and her love for the CBC (by her CBC hating best friend/ex-husband Daniel), but always stays true to what she believes in. She wishes sometimes that she could continue to eat the way she did when she lived in Mexico for a week, fresh fruit in the morning, a salad for lunch and fish for dinner.
