"NOTHING BEFORE IT'S TIME"

About Me

Hailing from South-West 17, Sir Adrian Templa A.K.A The Saint, (better known as Temps), began his love affair with music back in the late 90's. Taking inspiration from his elder brother Creamo, (Godfather to his style), and the legendary Tupac Shakur - (R.I.P), it was obvious that this creative young mind would be a force to reckon with on the mic.It was in 1997 when Temps, founded the ghetto fabulous Shadow Law with OB, Seven & Nine Keyz, which resulted in in the young quartet ripping talent show stages nationwide. In late 1998, Creamo recognised his younger siblings natural talent for the stage, and allowed him to feature alongside himself and his crew at the time NBG. It was after this, his first ever studio recording, Temps knew that music would be his destiny.Having split from Shadow Law in 1999 following internal disrepute, the young lyricist took time out to find his own angle as a solo artist. This began with a feature on West London Rapper Pluto's first single "Picasso's theme". Pluto, (now known as Alaye), was so impressed by the youngster, that he replaced two well known US rappers with Temps, and he was not disappointed. Temps brought a harder edge to this musical club anthem, which had DJ's queuing up for a copy. After a successful start to life as a solo artist, Temps was pegged back by some personal issues which needed immediate attention. This would put a strain on his musical aspirations, as he put down his pad and his pen through lack of inspiration. While going through dark times, a light appeared in the form of a track which was entitled "Rise Up You Fighters", which included the likes of Black Twang, Roots Manoeuvre & Estelle, and was to be released in Germany, in conjunction with "Rubikon Recordings", to combat racial hatred. It was in 2004 that the inspiration came back to Temps and he wasted no time. He dedicated this whole year to writing & recording, as he worked on his first solo project which was titled the "CV". This was a ground breaking mix tape in which Temps intertwined the past with the present, to form a unique introduction to his style. In the same year he recorded two more Projects, the second "Ripping US Bangers", where he did exactly what it says on the tin and the third, "Revolution". He also featured heavily on Tomorrow never dies, a compilation put together by producers ANL, (Art n Life). This would see Temps in his first video ever shoot, which won the U Tell Us phone in competition on Channel U.In what was to be a extremely productive year, Temps also featured on various mix tapes such as Creamo's "Peep & Pass" Arcane's "Calm B4 The Storm", SFR's "Breakin The Boxx", & Slice of Life’s "The Incredibles", while also making appearances on Music DVD's such as Streets Incarcerated and Bound To Blow & recording a Nike commercial which was aired in the US & Australia. But it was in the summer of 2005 where Temps had his most successful period to date, when we he became heavily affiliated with Ladbroke Groves "SugaKane Gang", which consisted of Alaye, Benny Blanco (R.I.P), DDG, Beth & DJ Pretty to produce "The Prototype". The no holds barred hip hop saw it fast become one of the streets hottest mix tapes, with UK's finest, which featured Temps & Alaye making the 279 play list.Just as Temps began to feel that things were taking off, he found himself been shut out of the game by fellow rappers, as well as the industry for spitting with a US twang, which was fast becoming a musical sin within the ever increasing UK scene. With three un-usable projects under his belt, Temps was wrestling with the idea of having to change his style or trying his luck elsewhere, when he hooked up with producer John Blaze. The two instantly found a mutual respect for each others talents and began to work on the first of the forthcoming "Blazing Trilogy", as well as co-producing the ATM LP and perfecting his new found UK Style. With Temps's Real Lyrics, delivered in a captivating flow, and Blaze's unique drum patterns complimented by his use of experimental sounds, the result is the Hottest CD to grace the UK Scene of Recent. Due for release in mid 2008, look out for the single "Setting Standards", which is sure to have your noggin knocking for the whole of the Summer.
