Who the fuck is Madman Speakz?I bin rapping for a few years now, not too long. But I was writing all kinds of shit from the age of 10, poetry mainly. And when I got to about 18, and was beginning to get tired of loving music and poetry, but being unable to implement my passion in any form of creativity - the obvious happened. I started rhyming.
Now I'll be straight up and honest from the outset, I have bare love for Hip Hop. But this shit is in decline, and I am starting to get really fucked off at feeling like I have to justify myself as a rapper to people who think that means I tote a Glock 9, shot crack, and fuck like an escape convict. I aint a thugged out dummy livin the "trife life" but at the same time, I aint some preachy moe foe with a know it all attitude. I know I aint shit, and my knowelage is limited, but my music is my spyglass. And when that rare instance occurs when a man can be totally honest in his music, even when its self effacing - the shit is beautiful and insightful. And that is what I aim for...most of the time, though I am guilty of writing the odd "I flow so Ill..." braggin about how sick my lyrics is and shit, but don't get that twisted with me thinking that I'm the dapper don or some shit. Cos I personally, am tired of this culture we have today, where all the focus is on the artist, their life, who their fuckin, where they go out at night blah blah fucking blah. What happened to the music man...
When I was young, people growing up around me either thought I was a psycho killer or a fuckin lunatic tramp. Either way, everybody carried on like I was crazy. But I was that poor kid in the shit part of a rich area, so generally I was a little different - my parents were the ones giving apples and tangerines to the kids on the doorstep when it was halloween. alas Madman Speakz is the name, I added the Speakz cos I don't know when to shut up.
Just finishing the mixing and manufacturing of an eight track compilation of beats and lyrics I've jammed together in the past year. It's gonna be ready for all cheap bastards by december, so go short on a few penny sweets around that time and be sure to cop that shit off my ass. Every track on the CD is gonna be raw as fuck and definately premium weight material. I bin tired of hearing albums from high grade rappers with 50 tracks on them but with only one or two that are worth listening to. I felt to make Every single bar, the sickest thing you've ever heard! otherwise whats the point in doing this?
