Stranger In The Alps

Are we ever going to play band again?

About Me

[email protected]
In late 2005, former members of Chicago bands Sheridan and Tonight Lets Be Heroes were brought together by their love of the Appleseed Cast, beer, and the Big Lebowski. This instrumental project was named Stranger in the Alps and has just started to make a name for itself around Chicago in various venues such as the Fireside Bowl, Subterranean, and US Beer Company. Playing a strain of shoegaze/space rock that is indebted to both the melody of Elliott and the Casket Lottery and the heaviness of bands such as Hum and Shiner, those elements give their music a plethora of peaks and valleys that takes the listener on unexpected turns, like a stranger lost in the beauty and danger of the Alps.
