Darkmoor came to life by the hands of Lain Weck (vox, guitar),Pete Aimaro (guitar, sounds), and Sarah Clark (bass) in late 2003. Explosions of energy and melody propell the band forward. They have a cleaver approach to song writing that takes the traditional terms of the craft and puts it under new eyes. Drawing influence from the post modern rock of Molly Mcquire and Failure to the punk stylings of Fugazi and The Jesus Lizard, really nothing is off limits. The soul purpose is to give something back to Rock n' Roll, and provide music that is new and bold for generations to come.
After three and a half years of writing and sharing the stage with numerous amazing acts Darkmoor has come to and end. Sarah and Lain are now living back in California and are working on the completion of their first release under the title Marasol with fellow Joliet musician Jim Benuska and are anticipating a 2008 release. After graduating college, Pete has joined forces with Chicago dark pop rock band Scale Model playing bass and working with the band on new material. Pete and Lain have also discussed a digital project called Electric Baby Flesh which will be a long distance musical project. The members walk away with a beautiful relationship and a bright outlook on the future.
