unfashionable music for unfashionable people

About Me

the bastard children of Robert Schneider and Pete Kember, House of Mexico make music that lies somewhere between psychedelic fuzzpop and Enid Blyton's Mountain of Adventure. Having made their debut on Earworm Records in 2002, and getting play-list approval from the late, great John Peel and other indie connoisseurs worldwide, they're still doing it for the kids but mostly for themselves.Their 7" single on The Great Pop Supplement that is now completely SOLD OUT!!! (Unless you're Jeff Linnell, who recorded the a-side and I still owe a copy and have it).Their next release is an as-yet-untitled ep and they are also featured on the forthcoming tribute to The June Brides, which features The Mad Scene, Jeffrey Lewis, The Jasmine Minks, Manic Street Preachers, The Tyde, The Television Personalities and The Legend! amongst many others - out February 2006 on yes!boy!icecream!records!
