Rhythm, density of shapes and lines, backgrounds: elements as old as the outlook of man. It is impossible to not be left in wonder at the sometimes playful sometimes poetic, sometimes abstract sometimes realistic forms of these works. A stance informed by the joyous creativity of one who intends to never separate communication from experimentation. Research turns to old formats, film, in a process of constant unraveling of meaning. Scratched, painted, etched and reset. Vital elements in constant evolution are applied and take root in these first person works. Heir to the “Pure Cinema†of the 1920’s and to New American Cinema.
