About Me

------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------- The Star Department's debut EP was released in June '06 to much critical acclaim and national airplay in Ireland, Spain and the US. Legendary producer Kramer (Low, Daniel Johnston, Galaxie 500) declared himself a big fan and mastered both the debut EP and unreleased mini-album "Auditions". The band were chosen as one of Today FM's 'Rising Bands of 2007' and their song "Embers" has been chosen for the the Aer lingus in-flight track-list. Also, the song "Flickering Lights" has been chosen by Road Records & Nokia as one of the 'Recommender' songs which showcases the best new music worldwide. Gigs of note include the IMRO Showcase Tour, a Crawdaddy EP Launch, The Ballroom Of Romance, Club NME Dublin, Reservoir (Entertainment.ie Showcase), Hard Working Class Heroes Festival headline show (www.hwch.net), two successful headline shows at the Boom Boom Room and a support for The Futureheads at the Ambassador Theatre (Bud Rising Show).------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------- I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
