Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads!

About Me

Azoora are a blended soup of acoustic electronica although we do seem to be widening our structual spectrum constantly now. We never seem to be able to stay on the absolute same vibe for too long, whether it be psycadelia, 70´s rock, trip hop or new rave we are always up for lending it a little azoora twist! Were currently working on new material and are looking for a release date of the official azoora album when all the work thats involved done. Were working transeuropean now with Paul travelling ocassionally from Sweden to record in the studio and brainstorm ideas with the other members, over a few jars of course! Expect well mastered and fresh new tracks to be on the album as well as well rounded bonus dance remixes for the more elegant electronic audience. A fantastic swedish art photographer has undertaken the job of doing coverart and presentation for the project; John Purcell is underway producing and engineering the album in between working freelance in many of Londons studios. Azooras other songwriter Paul Loader is currently working on the basis for new material when hes not working with his furniture design company in Sweden. We hope that the finished album, when its completed, will be up to the standard to keep us moving on creatively, thats what all the members are looking for. We´ve been in an incredible deep sleep the last three years working on various other projects, but I think were soon out of our musical hibernation! New demo tracks and strange tasters are available on myspace, do keep checking the page if you like what you hear because were going to begin circulating the tracks and some may not be on myspace again (or the official album for that matter). Sometimes it may be the B sides, snippets of remixes and even some raw pre-produced tracks. Keep an ear out, its good to hear the development. Hope you like it. It has a tendancy to grow on you.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: soundclick.com/azoora
Band Members: Paul Loader (vocals/writer), John Purcell (producer/writer/cowbell), Trudi Lawence (backing vocals). Ben Cochrane (drums)
Influences: I think we all take influences from everything around us like a sponge. Right now I don´t know; I´m listening to Jose Gonzales and Johns somehow into new rave! Its just to filter the good from the bad we hope! If we can find a formula we might find something new. Its always a merit for bandmembers to have seperate influences from eachother wether it be rock, classical, pop, metal, well, we beleive simplified experimentality can work. Somehow putting it all in one huge blender can make a tasty smoothie. Its time for some new sounds!
Sounds Like: Everyone has a different opinion about that! Someone said Squeeze the other day! (not sure if I agree with that one). Silvertrain was the last comparison. We could just do as everyone else and cheesily say Azoora! No lets say, Take That! (everyone loves a Barlow song!) Keep people wanting to compare, catorgarise and say "yeah that sounds like....."
Record Label: unconfirmed
Type of Label: Indie

Love will find it’s own way review

Azoora describe themselves on their Soundclick page as 'a trip hop blend of acoustic electronica' and it's not a description I'd argue with much, except to say that it slightly obscures exactly HOW go...
