When you..re an artist you are supposed to change a little bit every two years or so. You write a new album and someone writes you a new bio, etcetera.I am not sure that the two year cycle fits me anymore. I am constantly changing or I..m constantly the same, I am tired of hibernating and then coming out of the cave, I want to be out there all the time, I want to write and release songs that have no connection to eachother whatsoever, I want you to hear them because they..re good popsongs.Every month you will hear something new from me. It can be super pop, like "Out on the piers", a song that I think follows up on "No Party" from my last album "I think it..s a rainbow". It can be a strange Broadway -like ballad, like Traveling companion, a duet I..ve done with the magnificent Frida Hyvönen. It is somewhat reminicent of "Mystery " from the "Baby dry your eye" album. I don..t know when that one will be released. Maybe when the stars and planets are in the right posistion for that particular song. Will it be August? Who knows. Maybe I..ll write a 20 minute classical piece. In July, maybe I..ll decide it..s time to record that hangover-song that I played in Jakobstad last year. It..s the kind of song that would have fit in on my first album 3.00 A.M serenades as well. The epitaph over my best friends marriage? Possibly december. That Dusty Springfieldesque duet with Titiyo? Could be a June-song.It can be what ever I write, and whatever I think you should hear. You will cry to it or you will dance to it. Sometimes you will do both. It will always be honest, and it will always be pop.Marit Bergman - Out On The Piers
