About Me

If art is really a combination of physical bodies of colour, objects, sound, does it's description really matter? If i were to tell you that the painting is in the style of Turner, you'd think at most "its good but its not a Turner". So why should i say a single word about it? Your desciption is the most accurate desciption to yourself. So why not keep it that way?
The Sleep Wells are a 4-piece band from Cambridge, UK. This band was always going to happen in this time period, but only found its full shape last november 2005. Songs are of the new and old. Unheard and Familiar. Since September 2006, we played a handful of gigs around Cambridge.
Our first self-titled EP was recorded back in February 2006 on a four track in six hours; consisting of "Dress Me Up"/"Lighten Up"/"Silent Riots", it had the major flaw of sounding like it was recorded on tape from the 40s.
Our second self-titled EP (Panda) was recorded in March 2007, with a slightly greater two-figure budget. You can hear some songs from it on this very page, or if you want a real, CD copy, send us a message!
We are on and off between months, as our lives have progressed and we are often scattered across the country - Cambridge to Glasgow, London and Southampton. We get together and try to make the most of it.
See You Soon. xx
