King Kong Club The King Kong Club is a weekly, free admission, open mic night with a difference. Now in it’s fourth year! The show features 3 song performances from 3 emerging acts, competing for fantastic prizes, all judged by the specially made highly scientific 'King Kong Clap-O-Meter'. The judging takes place on audience reaction after a 40 minute performance from a very special guest from the current music scene. Free bananas are handed out all night. The night is finished with a D.J set from Kong Gone Wrong (Myspace D.J.) Pravda on Liffey Street Free entrance Free for bands to enter!The King Kong Club 2008 Prize!RECORDING A FULL LENGTH ALBUM IN COOLIN STUDIOS OVER TWO WEEKS Three winners will win three day’s recording in Coolin Studios with legendary producer Shane Brady to record a single.All three winners will then play the game for the grand prize: Two weeks recording in Coolin Studios to record a full-length album. And the winning act will then receive a full photo portfolio: A professional photo shoot on location and in the studio - including all post production from Ruth Medjber photography.One act a month will be hand picked by Jewel D.C Publishing to be featured live on O2’s pod-cast Ireland.All 9 Finalists will get one free rehearsal at Moxie studios. The 3 final winners will get 2 days free rehearsals at Moxie studios.The three singles will be launched at a special night in Pravda dedicated to the winning act. All press and media will be invited to the launch party.All Three singles will be released on-line with download.ie, with the possibility to chart.All winning songs will be shopped by Jewel D.C publishing to all advertising, film studios and major record companies in the U.S and the U.K and Europe!
